Hello, I’m Iqbal Patel, a DVSA-approved driving instructor at Darz Driving School with over 30 years of experience teaching learners to drive. During my career, I have successfully trained hundreds of pupils across London and Greater Manchester, helping them become safe, confident, and responsible drivers.
My Teaching Philosophy
Learning to drive is one of the most important life skills you’ll ever gain, and I believe it should be an enjoyable and rewarding experience. My aim is to create a calm, friendly, and supportive environment where every learner feels comfortable and confident behind the wheel.
I understand that every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to suit your individual needs, experience, and learning style. By getting to know each learner personally, I can provide lessons that help you progress at your own pace while building confidence on the road.
Building Confidence from the First Lesson
Many new learners feel nervous before their first driving lesson. That’s perfectly normal. I like to help students overcome those nerves by getting them driving on the road during their very first lesson whenever it’s safe and appropriate. This practical approach helps build confidence early and allows learners to see that driving is both achievable and enjoyable.
Throughout every lesson, I focus on:
