Terms and Conditions

An Approved Driving Instructor who gives lessons in a motor car in return for payment must be on the Register Of Approved Driving Instructors (ADI’s). To gain entry to the register, prospective instructors must pass a series of examinations administered by The Driving Standards Agency (DVSA). People training to become ADI’s who have part completed the examinations can obtain from the agency a licence to acquire practical experience which is strictly limited to six months. Once fully qualified and on the register, ADI’s are regularly tested by the DVSA to check their continued ability to give instruction to the required standards. DVSA and the driving instruction industry place great emphasis on professional standards and business ethics. The Code of Practice set out here has been agreed between the DVSA and the main bodies representing ADI’s. It is a framework within which all instructors should operate.

 

Personal Conduct:

  • The Instructor will at all times behave in a professional manner towards clients.
  • Clients will be treated with respect and consideration.
  • The instructor will try to avoid physical contact with the client, except in an emergency or in the normal course of greeting.
  • Whilst reserving the right to decide against giving tuition, the instructor will not act in any way which contravenes legislation on
  • discrimination.

 

Legal Requirements:

  1. Fitness to Drive and managing the risk is a two way process. You must Hold a current UK driving (provisional)license both parts and show the instructor before Lessons can begin.
  2. You must be able to read (with glasses or contact lenses, if necessary) a car number plate made after 1 September 2001 from 20 meters. You could be prosecuted if you drive without meeting the standards of vision for driving.
  3. Prescribed or Non Prescribed Drugs can dramatically affect your ability to drive if unsure contact your GP. It is illegal to drive if you’re unfit to do so because you’re on legal or illegal drugs.
  4. Any Changes in your medical condition which affect your driving license must be communicated with the Instructor Immediately.
  5. Practical Footwear is needed to learn to drive
  6. If the Instructor believes that you fail to meet the fitness to drive criteria the lesson will be canceled at the pupil or learner drivers expense.
  7. The ‘Instructor’ – cannot be held responsible for any loss damage or injury arising from a driving lesson.

 

Payment:

Prepayment has to be made at least 7 days before your lesson is due. In the event of payment not being made, the book lesson will be canceled and given to another prepaid Pupil.

 

Pricing:
Prices advertised on website are Bolton prices seen as the company is based in bolton. Prices may very depending on the location of the client due to many areas we cover. Instructor will be allocated from the admin team and he will sort the pricing out.

After the first 10 hours block booking prices will vary depending on your location and allocated instructor.

 

Lessons:
Your driving Lesson will be on a one to one basis with no car sharing. Should you wish a parent or friend to come with you this can be
arranged. You can be collected from your place of work or home address or a different location as long as prior knowledge is given and
it is agreed between instructor and pupil.
Lawful Penalties:
You will always be under close supervision whilst driving the school vehicle and as much as the instructor is there to teach you the driver
have the responsibility to keep the car safe and as the legal driver are responsible for any infringement of the law. Any fines that are
incurred will be the responsibility of the driver.

Practical Driving Tests:
We will work together to make every effort to ensure you are at practical driving test standard and have a thorough knowledge of the
dvsa set skills. Darz driving school instructor reserve the right to withdraw the use of the school vehicle for the practical test, without prior
notice if the Instructor feels that you are ‘unsafe’ in the interest of safety.
Damage to the School Vehicle:
During your lesson the Instructor will make every effort to avoid damage to the vehicle. If the Instructor considers that you were driving in an unsafe way despite best efforts made and actual damage is caused you will be expected to pay half towards repairs up to the level of excess on the tuition policy. This will discussed at the time of the damage.
During your Driving Test the Examiner will not prevent you from hitting the kerb or causing minor damage to the car. Therefore all damage caused whilst on Test will be charged to you up to the full level of excess on the tuition policy.

Cancellation of Booked Lessons:
48 hours notice are needed to cancel driving lessons to enable the time slot to be filled. If less than 48 hours the full lesson fee must be paid without exception.
I cannot be held responsible for any mechanical or electrical failure which may cause the prevention or termination of a lesson or driving test. However the vehicles are leased with a replacement vehicle should this occur would be on hand within 24 hours. If you decide to cancel your lesson due to weather conditions at short notice the lesson will be chargeable.
A non refundable 20% admin charge will be applied to any cancellations.

Block Booking/Bundles:
If Block booking is suspended for more than 12 weeks the money shall be fore fitted.

Official Driving Tests:
Darz driving school instructor has the right to withhold training vehicles for the driving test if, in the instructors opinion, the trainee does
not meet the required standard. Instructor will provide sufficient notice for the client to make alternative arrangements
if they wish to continue with the test appointment.

Appointments:
Whilst every care will be taken to ensure that the pupil receives the training at the requested time and with the instructor as booked, all bookings are made on the understanding that Darz driving school instructor is not responsible for the postponement of training due to adverse weather conditions, mechanical breakdown of equipment, absence or sickness of staff or any other cause beyond our control.
Neither can the school be responsible for Driving Tests appointments postponed by the Driving Standards Agency.

Personal Property:
Naturally every endeavor is made to safeguard the personal property of any trainee, but Darz driving school instructor point out that the school accepts no liability whatsoever for jewelery, cash, clothing, mobile phones or any other property left in the training vehicle.

Business Dealings:
The Instructor will safeguard and account for any monies paid in advance by the client in respect of driving lessons, test fees or for any other purpose and will make the details available on request.

Advertising:
Advertising of driving tuition shall be honest, claims made shall be capable of verification and comply with the codes of practice set down by the advertising standards authority. Advertising that refers to clients pass rates should not be open to misinterpretation, and the basis for which the calculation is made should be clear.

 

Laws Applying to Terms and Conditions:
These T and C’s are governed by the laws of England and Wales and are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts
